The animated short Primal Flux, directed by Academy Award recipient Joan Gratz with music by Yati Durant, will be screened at the Festival International du Film d'Aubagne. The festival takes place from 21st - 26th March 2017 and focusses especially on works by European film composers. Primal Flux was completed in 2016 and premiered at the Varna World Animation festival as part of a workshop for animators within the official programme. Premiere of Duo: Reflections at festival Nuova Consonanza, Rome on 26.11.16
On Saturday, 26th November 9pm at Macro via Pizza, Rome, will see the premiere of my new commissioned work for two pianos/four hands Duo: Reflections performed by ensemble Biondi/Brunialti at festival Nuova Consonanza Rome. The concert also features work by Kurtág, Berio, Dufourt and others.

Guest lecture at HKU Utrecht on Composition for Screen
Yati gave a guest lecture by invitation of the HKU University of the Arts Utrecht on Tuesday, 8th November 2016 as part of HKU's International Week, focussing on techniques and context in composition and improvisation to screen. The guest lecture took place at HKU's new campus in Utrecht and included a tour of their fantastic new recording facilities! Perhaps new collaborations there will be in the works....
