This is a newly formed quartet focusing on music by the likes of Freddie Hubbard, Clifford Brown and Herbie Hancock. It features on trumpet Yati Durant (U.S.A, freshly back from touring Brazil), Keith Haldane (drums), Huw Rees (piano) and Dave Series (guitar). Through their mutual love for the music they strive to deliver a fresh rendition of the well know classics.

Battleship Potemkin concert performance dates with the Braunschweiger Staatsorchestra in November 2018

Yati will conduct the Braunschweiger Staatsorchester and his 2005 score to Sergei Eisenstein’s silent film masterpiece Battleship Potemkin at the Murnau Film and Musikfest 2018 on Sunday 28th October at 5pm in the Rudolf-Oetker-Halle Bielefeld, Germany and at the festival opening ceremony of the Braunschweig International Film Festival on Monday 5th November at 7pm in the Statdhalle Braunschweig. Guest lecturing at Zurich University of the Arts

Yati is heading off to Zurich on 3rd October to guest lecture at Zurich University of the Arts. He will be working with film composition students on a project through January 2019 in which students work on their compositions using improvisation as part of the creative process. He will also take part in the Zurich Film Music Competition, working with the Tonhalle Orchestra and composer Cliff Martinez to help discover new and exciting talent across Europe. It will be an interesting trip!

Saundaryalaharī 2 at St. Cecilia's Concert Hall, Edinburgh on Monday, 24th September

Please join us for an evening of contemporary and experimental music for 4 players and electronics (with visuals). This concert involves contemporary composition, improvisation and computer music - all inspired by spiritualism in different ways. This ensemble performed (most) of these works by commission of Forfest in Kroměříž, Czech Republic in June 2018 and are invited to Edinburgh for this special occasion.
