Yati will be chairing the European Education Alliance for Music and Sound in Media (EEAMS) at Soundtrack Cologne on 20th August 2015. This meeting gathers colleagues and programme area directors of film music programmes throughout Europe (and the USA) to discuss important leading trends, directives and issues related to teaching film music. Scores to Jean Desmet's Dream Factory
Yati is currently working on experimental films scores to accompany recent restored films of the Jean Desmet’s Dream Factory collection of EYE Amsterdam. The scores will be premiered at the EYE building on the IJ Harbour in Amsterdam from 13 December 2014 - 12 April 2015. Update: the scored films are now viewable in the Music for Screen portion of this website.
New Electronic Music Collaboration Project: Durant & Svalesen
Through a recent collaboration with trumpeter/electronic musician Christian Svalesen, Yati is embarking on a new long-term experimental project utilizing hybrid performance scoring techniques for new film scores. Currently, the duo is working on scoring for an Autumn performance of Häxan (1922).
