Yati Durant and Jules Rawlinson will perform "Pixidust 2", an improvised composition for modular electronic synthesisers and visual feed back/forward systems, at the Seeing Sound Symposium, Bath-Spa University, UK on 24.03.18. The composition utilises an extension of the Saundaryalahari concept together with Pixivisor system that translates visuals (in this case the geometric construct of the Sricakra) into sound and back again - with the improvisors manipulating the signal path in the process. Yati will be chairing the European Education Alliance for Music and Sound in Media (EEAMS) at the Festival du Film D'Aubagne on Friday, 23rd March 2018. This meeting gathers colleagues and programme area directors of film music programmes throughout Europe (and the USA) to discuss important leading trends, directives and issues related to teaching film music. Yati is giving a workshop and masterclass and scoring session on film music orchestral conducting at the Chiesa di Sant' Agostine of the Conservatory di Music "Francesco Venezze" in Rovigo, Italy on 19th - 20th and 23rd-24th February. The orchestra taking part is provided by the conservatory with workshop participants mostly made of students of composition and film composition taught by Prof. Marco Biscarini.
