Yati will be running a comprehensive masterclass on Film Music, to develop technique, enhance theory and work intensively on recording live and production with the renowned Paranormal Quartet at the Hochschule für Film und Fernsehen Munich between 9th - 13th September. There is more activity in Bangalore this summer:
After giving, perhaps, the first ever composition workshop in Bangalore at the Majolly Trust in 2018, I’m excited to be giving a Masterclass at Furtados Music School Bangalore, also in them music composition, focusing on creativity, balance and production as well as notational practice on Thursday 1st August 6 - 7:30pm. I’ll be talking about techniques when composing classical, film and digital music. Participation fee is 1000 rupees. See the image poster for contact information to sign up!

Collaborative project Saundaryalahari with Yashas Shetty at Srishti Bangalore, India
Yati will be working with artist Yashas Shetty and students of Srishti Institute of Art, Design and Technology in Bangalore, India from 29th July - 2nd August 2019. The project will involved using collaborative concepts from the Saundaryalahari Project (http://www.saundaryalahari.eca.ed.ac.uk) to develop art and music works that involve technology and creativity and consider ways in which they can be performed and/or installed in India. The Saundaryalahari project uses “proto-linguistic” practices to work in creative fields together. It will be exciting to see this project develop and outcomes will be posted on this website and otherwise!
Soundpainting workshop with André Bellmont (Zurich University of Arts) at Reid Concert Hall, Edinburgh 24th - 28th June 2019
Yati will be running a unique Soundpainting workshop together with André Bellmont from Zurich University of Arts in University of Edinburgh’s Reid Concert Hall from 24th - 28th June 2019. The project will involve conducting musical ensembles with specialised gestures to create improvised soundtracks for short films. Participants include composers, musicians, sound designers and all creatives. The workshop active participants are fully filled, but passive participation is possible without enrolment.
