This year’s Soundtrack_Cologne 22 (8th - 11th July 2025) features a big programme of International film, tv and video game composer stars. This year, Yati is responsible for all the music from these composers to be performed by the WDR Funkhausorchester in their closing gala; more than 19 individual large orchestral works from composers such as Michael Abels, Jongic Bontemps, and many others.

Yati is also once again leading the jury and moderating the candidate public interviews of the European Talent Competition, he is also heading the AcadeMeet academic panels and the IMMSANE European General Assembly, as well as a new-format student-oriented screening event at the festival.

“Understanding how a film music festival can help your career, what to do when you get there, and how to make the very best of the plethora of professional connections and events, is a vital skill for a budding film music composer. This session introduces thoughts, techniques and experiences on how to prepare, using best practice, self-exercises, and also provides an opportunity to meet Dr. Yati Durant, director of MSCN, and ask questions. We look forward to seeing you there!”
